The Learning Center
Central Christian School is strongly committed to help each student reach his or her God-given academic potential. In addition to the challenging environment of our classrooms, we also provide The Learning Center which serves gifted students and those with cognitive challenges.
Our TLC gifted education program meets the needs of students in grades 2nd-6th who are identified as academically gifted. We allow students to “compact” or shorten their learning time in the classroom, freeing them to participate in another environment where they are further challenged and encouraged in their areas of strength.
We also provide a program in which children with mild learning disabilities are evaluated and then receive the necessary interventions to succeed in the classroom. Learning Specialists work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen their areas of need. They also collaborate with teachers and equip them with modification techniques to aid in the academic success of each student.
