Leadership

CCS is led by a 13 member Board of Directors that reports to the Session of Central Presbyterian Church. The Board consists of members elected by parents, Elders and others appointed by Central Presbyterian Church. The Board is structured into four committees, with a School Board member as Chair. Interested parents and teachers also serve on these committees as appropriate. The committees are: Finance, Advancement, Education and Long Range Planning.

The daily leadership of Central Christian School is provided by our Head of School, Joshua Crane.  Mr. Crane has a comprehensive background in Christian education.  He was on the founding board of Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. He taught at Brentwood Academy and Ensworth School (both in Nashville) and also served as chief operating officer of a technology company. Mr. Crane holds an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree in European Studies from the University of Glasgow and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Covenant College.

 

The curriculum and instruction leadership is provided by Dana Scheidt.  Mrs. Scheidt spent seven years teaching in the first and second grades.  Her most recent teaching experience was teaching second grade at Glenridge Elementary in the School District of Clayton, located in Clayton, Missouri.   Mrs. Scheidt attained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology as well as her Master of Arts in Education from Washington University in St. Louis.
