About CCS
Research-based. Relevant. Rigorous.
Central Christian School partners with families to prepare children for the 21st century instilling a passion for God, a love of truth, and a zeal to serve. Our vision is to be a diverse, academically and spiritually excellent community for each unique child.
We offer a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that motivates students to think critically and problem-solve while making meaningful connections across all academic disciplines. Core curriculum -- organized into four theme-based units -- is enhanced by the teaching of Specialists in the areas of Art, Music, Spanish, Technology, Physical Education, and Library Science. We create a loving, intentional environment where children are encouraged to develop the gifts God has given them. Using the latest in research-based practice and educational technology, we prepare students for secondary school and for leadership in the 21st century.
We do so within the context of a diverse learning community. Because God has demonstrated diversity in Creation, our student body encompasses significant diversity in race, socioeconomic status and learning abilities. Our 285+ students represent over 40 zip codes and 65 churches. Our urban campus in Clayton, Missouri consists of two buildings (a main building for Grades 3K-4th and the Summit for Grades 5th and 6th), two playgrounds, and a parking garage (perfect for those rainy morning drop-offs!).
